Today in America there is a critical issue that plagues the United States’ economy. Major Information Technology, or IT, businesses have been offshoring major projects overseas in order to benefit their companies. However, this has had many negative effects on American workers. The benefits, such as lower labor cost, and a larger labor pool, that major IT corporations gain from offshoring do not outweigh the negative effects, such as losing the American IT worker market in the U.S., and the decresing interest of students in the IT field, on American IT workers.
